Welcome to Studio 409, a locally owned wig salon dedicated to providing compassionate care and support to those experiencing hair loss. Founded by Jack Morlan, known affectionately as "The Hair Doctor," our salon has been a beacon of hope for over 30 years. With more than 48 years of experience in the hair industry, Jack's journey into wig fitting began when his sister, a nurse, confided in him about her cancer diagnosis. Motivated by her words, “You need to start doing wigs for women because we have no one here to turn to,” Jack committed himself to helping others in similar situations. His dedication and expertise earned Studio 409 numerous accolades from organizations like "Look Good Feel Good," KCCI, and WHO, recognizing the profound impact he made in our community.

In 2024 when Jack retired, Katy, who had been with him for 10 years, took over and injected new life into the salon with fresh ideas. She discovered her passion for this meaningful work and the reward of making a difference in people's lives. 

In January of 2026, with Katy continuing to be a crucial part of Studio 409, Jack's son, Zac is now at the helm ready to lead the team as he embraces the family business . He alongside the dedicated team -Katy, Beth, and Taylor- continue the long legacy and deep commitment that Jack originally created and fostered.

 Though Jack is no longer at the helm, he still makes special appearances, ensuring that his spirit and passion for helping others remain a vital part of Studio 409.
